First Montreal Upside Foundation Event at Notman House and First Montreal Donor- December 11, 2014
December 16, 2014

The Upside Foundation of Canada held its first Montreal event – a “5 à 7” beer and pizza – at Notman House on December 11, 2014.  Janie (me – our Exec Director) joined Steve Abrams (our Board member extraordinaire who supplied the pizza and beer!) to explain the concept of the Upside Foundation to local startups.  A good sized crowd came and views were unanimously positive.  We know Montreal entrepreneurs want to have a social mission and we are confident we will soon have lots of Montreal donors.

We were excited to announce that Nanex, the makers of AquaShield, is our first Montreal donor company – and pledged even before we officially “launched” in Montreal.  Clayton Berg, one of the co-founders was there, along with teammates Boyd Soussana and Alexandra Meyer, to explain why they donated to Upside Foundation.  I think we might all want to use AquaShield to protect our boots from getting soaked in the Montreal slush!

If you were one of those people I met that night and have additional questions or want to get involved, please contact me at info@upsidefoundation.ca  or tweet about us at @sharetheupside. IMG_2916 IMG_2920
